Jumping Jacks: Start with a classic move to get your heart rate up. Stand with your feet together and your arms at your sides. Jump up, spreading your legs out wide as you raise your arms overhead. Jump back to the starting position and repeat.


High Knees: Start by jogging in place, making sure to bring your knees up high with each step. You can pump your arms to help you get up even higher.


Double Unders: This move is a bit more challenging, but it’s great for toning your legs. Jump up and swing the rope around twice before you land. You can practice this move by jumping with only one revolution of the rope first, then working up to two.


Side Shuffle: This move will help to tone your obliques (side abdominal muscles). Start with your feet together, then step to one side with your right foot. Immediately jump and switch sides, stepping with the left foot. Keep repeating this movement as quickly as you can.


Lunges: Add a strength training routine by doing lunges while holding on to the rope. From a standing position, take a big step forward with your right leg and lower down into a lunge. Keep your back straight and your knees in line with your toes as you lower yourself. Then switch legs, leading with the left leg.


Crisscross Jump: This move will help you tone your abs while also improving your cardiovascular fitness level. Stand with feet together, then jump up and cross one foot over the other. Cross the opposite foot over the first, then repeat as quickly as you can.

Keep jumping rope for 10-15 minutes, or until your workout is complete. To mix things up, try doing a set of each move and repeating it two or three times before moving on to the next. Then take a break, grab a drink of water, and repeat the circuit one more time.
